Principal’s Message

Welcome Warrior Family!  I am excited to serve as the new Principal of Henrico High School for the 2016-2017 school year. I am privileged to work with an exceptional group of teachers, supportive staff members, and the hardest working leadership team in the nation! I am also proud to serve a magnificent group of young people.

Last year Henrico High School once again exceeded local, state and federal academic benchmarks to earn full accreditation.  Our senior class of 2016 was awarded over 16 million dollars in scholarships. Two thirds of our senior class earned a 3.0 GPA and above. HHS had 22 athletes sign collegiate scholarships. Band, NJROTC, Robotics and our Step Team all placed top honors in their corresponding competitions. The International Baccalaureate diploma program maintained its 90% diploma achievement rate- well above the world average of 79%. In the 2016 Regional Scholastic Awards, our CFA Visual Arts Department earned one GOLD key portfolio, three SILVER key portfolios, seven individual GOLD awards, 22 individual SILVER awards and 13 Honorable Mentions at the Regional Level. Only ten students from HCPS were chosen to attend the 2016 VPA Governor’s School and of these ten, SEVEN were from the CFA Program!

As evident by our student’s achievements, the entire Warrior faculty and staff values the academic, social and emotional wellness of each student.  We believe that a high quality, learner-centered educational program that focuses on Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, and building meaningful relationships, maximizes both academic success as well as personal growth.  On behalf of the entire Warrior Family, we look forward to working collaboratively with parents and with our community members to ensure all students continue to fulfill their highest potential on their journey to becoming empowered individuals and constructive members of their communities. I am eager to witness how our students out-do themselves this year!
