Henrico Student named 1 of 16 Nationally Selected Winners

Scholastic Winner Jasmine Headshot Henrico High School has six national awards at the Scholastic Art and Writing competition. Jasmine M, Katie H and Casey S were selected from hundreds of thousands of regional entries throughout the country, then adjudicated nationally by leaders in the arts. These prestigious awards make them eligible to publish in national collections, and nominate them for top scholarship opportunities.

Additionally, Scholastics selects 8 portfolios from thousands of entries from around the country. These students receive the prestigious gold medal and are considered to be the top emerging artists in the United States. Their work will be featured in a gallery exhibit in New York City, and published in an exhibition catalog. Additionally, students receive a $10,000 college scholarship to study at an art school. We are so proud to announce that in addition to winning an individual National Gold Key, our CFA Visual Arts and AP Studio Senior Jasmine M has won this prestigious top honor with painting portfolio titled On-Call! Way to go Jasmine! See local paper Style Weekly’s coverage of her big win here. Behold, the Green and Gold!
