The Henrico Learner Profile

Created using input from students, educators, families, and community stakeholders, the Henrico Learner profile is a shared vision for student success, emphasizing the development of essential life-ready skills and attributes.

Teaching and learning experiences are developed with student outcomes and student success at the center. The critical “life ready” knowledge, skills, and attributes of the Henrico Learner Profile reflect what our community told us they want students to know and be able to do.

What does it mean to be life-ready?

The Henrico Learner Profile (HLP) embodies a comprehensive and forward-thinking vision for the development of students within Henrico County Public Schools. It is crafted in response to the evolving educational landscape and the question, "What knowledge, skills and dispositions do Henrico learners need to thrive in a globally connected and rapidly changing world?" The HLP is central to preparing students not just for academic success but for a life that is rich in purpose and ready for the unknown challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
