Let's celebrate this week by showing some spirit!

In celebration of computer science week, students coded a dance party during LAMP last week. Coding is a great way to teach students how to become problem solvers.

This second grade student wow us with her excellent communication skills as she shared about her heritage on the morning announcements. We love learning all about the different countries and holidays our students celebrate.

Fifth graders used Scratch to code a sprite to name the state in the Southeast region. Coding came so easily to them. What great critical thinking skills!

Congratulations to Ahmed in Ms.Custis' house for winning the school wide spelling bee competition!
We are so proud of all the Roadrunners that participated!

Ms.West’s class learned about properties of matter and the different materials things are made of. They were tasked with designing an umbrella to keep a bear dry. They used critical thinking skills to make adjustments when materials were not successful.Way to go, first graders!

Ms.Williford's class concluded their science unit by constructing their own musical instruments that made a low and high pitch. So much great engineering happened!

Miss Hamner's class discovered all about push and pull by using cars and by making their own ramps. Look at those cars go!

Mrs. Carriere's students used the code and go mouse to see which object was harder for the mouse to push. They discovered it was the pom pom because of its shaped and how it wanted to roll around.

Miss Rake's bumblebees learned about push and pull by playing Go Fishin'! Oh what fun they had learning about force and playing a game with others.

Third graders became archaeologists and they uncovered "artifacts" that revealed the ancient civilization they will be learning about next.
